Current State of the Real Estate Market by Property Type and Assessment Value with Larry Stone, Santa Clara County Assessor

Real Estate Radio LIVE is excited to welcome back Larry Stone, Santa Clara County Assessor to the show!  Larry has been named one of Silicon Valley’s 100 most powerful leaders by San Jose Magazine.  He was first elected Assessor in 1994 and overwhelmingly re-elected five times by the residents of Santa Clara County, which stretches north to Palo Alto, south to Gilroy, and includes San Jose, the “Capital of Silicon Valley.”  Larry will bring his knowledge and expertise about the current state of the real estate market by property type and assessment value to the show with Host Joe Cucchiara.  Tune in from 3-4pm PST on AM 1220 KDOW to listen, learn & join the discussion. You can also listen streaming online at www.reradiolive.com.

Joe will kick off the hour by discussing the current state of the real estate market in the Silicon Valley.  Larry will discuss what happens to assessed values when the market value falls below its purchase price and what happens when the market values come back.  Joe and Larry will also give a background on the rolls and responsibilities of the Assessor and the office. As County Assessor, Larry has overseen remarkable improvements to streamline the operations of his office, eliminate backlogs, and achieve higher levels of public service, all while consistently operating substantially under budget.
